{"id":9514,"date":"2026-09-04T16:52:31","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T08:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.investmongolia.gov.mn\/en\/?p=9514"},"modified":"2026-09-07T14:49:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T06:49:10","slug":"amendments-to-the-investment-law-now-in-effect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investmongolia.gov.mn\/en\/?p=9514","title":{"rendered":"AMENDMENTS TO THE INVESTMENT LAW NOW IN EFFECT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The amendments to the Investment Law of Mongolia, adopted on July 3, 2026, officially entered into force on August 31, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amendments are aimed at further improving Mongolia\u2019s investment legal framework, strengthening the protection of investors\u2019 rights and legitimate interests, enhancing the mechanisms for attracting, retaining, and supporting investment, and improving the accessibility and coordination of public services provided to investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the implementation of the amended Investment Law, the Investment and Trade Agency of Mongolia will undertake the following key functions to provide investors with information, advisory services, and support, as well as to facilitate access to government services through a one-stop service mechanism:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Implement comprehensive measures to attract, retain, and support investment;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Promote and disseminate information on investment-related legislation and the legal framework, and provide investors with relevant and necessary information;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Provide support to investors in investment planning and the sustainable continuation of their investments;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Protect investors\u2019 rights and legitimate interests and address and resolve investor complaints and grievances;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Provide advisory services and digital one-stop services for other government services related to investment;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1\/16\/1f539.png\">Obtain investment-related statistics and information from relevant government organizations and establish and maintain an integrated investment statistics and information database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these measures, the Government of Mongolia will strengthen its support to investors throughout all stages of the investment cycle, providing timely information, advisory services, and assistance, while implementing a comprehensive approach to attracting, retaining, protecting, and expanding investment in Mongolia. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The amendments to the Investment Law of Mongolia, adopted on July 3, 2026, officially entered into force on August 31, 2026.
