MONGOLIA–UZBEKISTAN ECONOMIC, TRADE AND INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION IS EXPANDING
The “Uzbekistan Trade Center” under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially commenced its operations in Mongolia in 2025.
The Center aims to practically promote business partnerships, trade, and investment between the two countries and to serve as a bridge of trust and cooperation between Mongolian and Uzbek enterprises.
In 2025, total bilateral trade turnover between Mongolia and Uzbekistan reached USD 31.7 million, representing a 197.7% increase compared to the previous year.
Exports
In 2025, Mongolia’s total exports to Uzbekistan amounted to USD 25.2 million, marking a 324.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The largest share of exports consisted of animal-origin products, particularly sheep-derived products, which reached USD 10 million and accounted for 40.1% of total exports. Exports of these products increased by 4,026.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, serving as a key driver of overall export growth.
Imports
Imports from Uzbekistan to Mongolia reached USD 6.5 million in 2025, reflecting a 38.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Chocolate and other food preparations containing cocoa dominated the import structure, totaling USD 1.1 million and accounting for 17.0% of total imports from Uzbekistan. Imports of these products increased by 32.6% year-on-year and were among the main contributors to import growth.

Apples are among Uzbekistan’s important export products. Globally, approximately 80–84 million tons of apples are produced annually, with Asia accounting for around 70% of total global supply.
Uzbekistan is a major cotton producer in Central Asia and a key textile exporter, holding a strategic position in the global cotton market.
Uzbekistan remains one of the world’s top 10 cotton producers.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Mongolia is open to cooperating with Mongolian businesses and enterprises to officially expand the supply of Uzbek products and strengthen trade collaboration in the Mongolian market.
