The opening day of “Investment and Trade Agency Week” was successfully held under the theme “Mongolia’s Energy Sector and Investment Opportunities.”
The event was jointly organized by the Investment and Trade Agency and the Investor Protection Center under the Ministry of Economy and Development. The objective of the event was to introduce the current state of Mongolia’s energy sector, its development trends, and investment opportunities, while also providing a platform to exchange views on the challenges facing the sector.
The event brought together domestic and international investors, enterprises operating in the energy and renewable energy sectors, as well as representatives from banks and financial institutions. Participants exchanged views on sectoral cooperation and the investment environment.
The event was officially opened with remarks by Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr. Dorjkhand T. and Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Development Ms. Davaasuren S.
During the session, Ms. Zandan B., Director of the Investment and Trade Agency, delivered a presentation on “Mongolia’s Investment Climate,” while Mr. Enkhtuvshin T., Director of the Strategic Policy Department of the Ministry of Energy, presented on “The Current State and Development Trends of Renewable Energy.”
Representing the private sector, Mr. Och O., Director of the Information Technology Department at Newcom LLC, delivered a presentation on “Digital Transformation for Mongolia’s Energy Sector.” In addition, Mr. Erdenetulga D., Director of the SME Cooperation Department at Trade and Development Bank, presented on “Sustainable Development and Finance.”
Following the presentations, participants engaged in discussions and exchanged views on investment opportunities in the energy sector, policy directions, and the future development prospects of the sector.
