The closing or fifth day of the “7 days named after the Department of Investment and Trade” event was successfully organized under the theme “Export opportunities in the trade and business sector”.

The closing day of the “Investment and Trade Agency Week” was successfully held under the theme “Export Opportunities in the Trade and Business Sector.”

The event opened with remarks by Ms. Erdenetuya D., Director of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Policy Department at the Ministry of Economy and Development, and Ms. Erdenebayar O., Head of the Trade Promotion Division of the Investment and Trade Agency. Representatives from government institutions, the private sector, international and professional organizations, as well as business and trade stakeholders attended the event. Participants had the opportunity to receive information from experts on the current foreign trade environment, export policies, and available opportunities, while also discussing the challenges faced by businesses.

As part of the program, Mr. Enkhdavaa, Senior Specialist of the Trade Promotion Division, presented on “The Current State of Foreign Trade and the Utilization of Free Trade Agreements.” Representatives from the General Customs Administration delivered information on customs duties, tax exemptions and reductions, and the operations of customs authorities.

Additionally, Ms. Khash-Erdene, Executive Director of the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce, spoke about contract disputes and key considerations for traders, while Prof. Otgonsaikhan from the Business School of the National University of Mongolia presented on testing procedures and requirements for agricultural products exported from Mongolia to China.

During the afternoon session, speakers shared insights on market opportunities in Uzbekistan, export support services, export experiences, and the current state of transport and logistics.

The event concluded with a discussion among participants on improving the trade and export environment and addressing challenges faced by businesses, followed by closing remarks from Ms. Erdenebayar O.

Overall, the event provided valuable information, practical experience, and networking opportunities for traders, entrepreneurs, and exporters. The “Investment and Trade Agency Week” highlighted key sectors including energy, economy, investment, and trade, and similar events will continue to be organized in the future.
